Are Crickets safe to eat?
Absolutely, the latest studies are showing that not only are crickets totally safe to eat, but they are actually great for your gut health too. People in Asia, Africa and Latin America have been eating crickets for decades as they are such a rich source of protein, vitamins and minerals.
What is the difference between cricket protein, cricket powder and cricket flour?
Cricket protein is often referred to as cricket powder or cricket flour. Our 100% cricket protein powder, SUSTAIN, contains nothing but 100% dried crickets that have been ground into a fine powder. This can then be used as a protein powder or it can be used as a flour in baking.
Are Cricket proteins suitable for vegan or vegetarian diets?
It depends on your beliefs. There are a growing number of vegans who include sustainably farmed insects as part of their diet and this vegan sub-group is referred to as Entovegans. If you are a vegan or vegetarian based on health or sustainability reasons, you may want to consider adding cricket supplements to your diet as they are a rich source of protein and vitamin B12.
Are Crickets clean?
All our cricket products are grown especially for human consumption and processed in an FDA (food and drug administration) certified facility that adheres to strict HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) guidelines to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our products. All our crickets are grown in a non-GMO, chemical free, organic environment. Our female crickets lay their eggs in organic peat moss, and our crickets are fed organic food.
